Within my heart, my fam'ly always stays
We stick together in the toughest time
Fighting for each other in many ways
Will love and care until we end the climb
Fam'ly: a house straight above your head
When built by love it never needs repair
You need a fam'ly like a coat needs thread
I sleep at night knowing they will be there
We fight and the house starts fading away
Leaving me without protection
I look around, nowhere for me to stay
Ev'ry fam'ly does not know perfection
So learn to love fam'ly no matter what
Fam'ly always heals like an open cut.

Night
Some love the warm still wind that seldom moves,
Or find the scorching sun is somehow meet,
Or that the day is a miracle that proves
Just how the world, in chaos, can be sweet,
But I, to be quite frank, do disagree.
Who needs the blazing sun, when stars are bright?
And who could ever chose day, when the key
To a wondrous world of joy is night?
For night unlocks a world of the unknown.
I do believe this world is misesteemed
And often it sits silent and alone.
So here’s my final wish, my only plea:
Please come enjoy the world of night with me.

My Empty Street
I'm looking down along my empty street
It's lined with lights and made for eyes delight.
The same accursed cat patrols my feet,
And trots into the grimness of the night
It's autumn now but not a leaf to find,
Just drab, decrepit, duplicates of oak.
Along the street the fancy rides are lined,
And not the slightest hint of engine smoke.
I cannot tell if there's a soul inside,
And if there is I hope me don't engage.
For every man is king of his own pride,
Yet slave to his cruel king this day and age
But someday sun will shine like once before,
And fill the street with people I adore.
