Love Letters

Southwest Shakespeare Company invites you to enjoy Broadway’s quintessential play and best way to celebrate Valentine’s Day – Love Letters at the historical theatre on the breathtakingly beautiful campus of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West in Scottsdale with our own famous couples reading.

Love Letters by A. R. Gurney centers on two characters, Melissa and Andrew, as they read the notes, letters and cards which they have shared for nearly 50 years. They discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.

Join us for an evening of a delightful, fascinatingly funny, tragic, heart-warming story of love lost, love found, friendship and the bond that grows between two people over a 50-year friendship…through all of life’s trials, tribulations, ups and downs, come together, grow apart, move on with their lives with other people and other friends.  Do they finally come together after a lifetime or is it far too late for them?

Our celebrity guest readers on February 13th will be Senator Robert and Christi Worsley. On February 18th, MLB Commissioner Emeritus Bud and Sue Selig will be reading. On both evenings, members of our professional acting community will play the roles of Melissa and Andrew in their younger years.

Love Letters is a charity fundraising event.  Your generosity helps support the many educational programs and opportunities for hundreds of Arizona youth.

Tickets are $100 per person and includes dessert only.
Tickets for both evenings are $187.50 per person.
