A CLE Course with a dramatic twist.
You have to do it, why not do it with us?
Experience live theater while learning and discussing legal ethics. Southwest Shakespeare Company actors perform specific legal scenes from Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice.
A Panel of Experts to Guide the Discussion
Curt Tofteland joins us from Michigan, where he is the Founder and Producing Director of the renowned program, Shakespeare Behind Bars, which is dedicated to offering “theatrical encounters with personal and social issues to incarcerated, post-incarcerated, and at-risk communities, allowing them to develop life skills that will ensure their successful integration into society.” As the action plays out on stage, Curt will moderate the discussion with both the panel and the audience. You are a part of the action and help to create the experience.
